Purpose of the Service

InflationMonk is a free salary inflation calculator that uses Consumer Price Index (CPI) data from official government sources across 41 countries. It is provided for informational and educational purposes only. We are not providing financial, legal, or investment advice. The calculator is designed to help you understand how inflation may have affected purchasing power over time, but should not be used as the sole basis for financial decisions.

Data Handling

Your salary information is processed in your browser and on our server only during the calculation. No salary data is stored on or transmitted to our servers. We use your browser's local storage to remember form inputs (such as salary, country, pay frequency, and negotiation date) so you don't have to re-enter them on each visit. This data stays on your device.

We use PostHog for privacy-friendly analytics to understand how the service is used. Analytics data is hosted in the United States. We never track your salary amounts or other financial data entered into the calculator. For full details, see our Privacy Policy.

Accuracy of Data

While we use official Consumer Price Index (CPI) data from government statistical agencies and employ standard calculation methods, we cannot guarantee the completeness, accuracy, or timeliness of all information. Economic conditions and individual circumstances may vary significantly from aggregate data.
